Any thoughts on the Cypher System RPG?

Looks like similar idea to FFG's Genesys where its meant to work for all different genres and its the basis for the Numenera RPG that I also haven't played. Anyone played it?

I have played a couple times with Numenara. I think the settings are the most interesting part. The actual rules didn’t do a lot for me. I thought it had some cool ideas that kind of fell flat in play (the Cyphers themselves were basically just renamed scrolls/potions that pretend they are different and cooler). If I played again, I would probably run the setting with Fate (if I wanted to focus on narrative with a bit of crunch) or Savage Worlds (if I wanted lots of combat).

Edit: I thought it kinda tries to do aspects/stunts like Fate with some more resource management type stuff from dungeon crawlers. For me, it was not a happy medium.

The setting screams GAMMA WORLD to me, with new rules. As for the rules, it seems that the GM takes a backseat to the players (players do nearly all the rolls. Seriously) and the system isn't terribly complex. I like the setting and would run the game before passing judgment.
