well, i tried. boy do i suck at this table.

After spending just about all day and night Saturday playing the "Epic Quest" table, I'd like to brag that I took the top score away from Space Ghost. Yes, my hands are permanently crabbed into a controller death grip, yes there was a little bit of bleeding from the eyes and YES I know this will only last until Ghost decides to take it away from me but for now....

I think I saw that there is a new tournament starting in week or so..or was it that a new tournament would be announced in a week or so.

Anybody know when or what table it will be? I'm guessing the new Avengers table but I don't know.

I'll have to check into it. I'm feeling so so about Epic Quest. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. It seemed like they were making a really big deal about that new table and even pushed the release back to fine tune it. I really don't see anything special compared to what we already have.

I think the big deal was it allowed you to keep some bonuses from game to game so long as you didn't totally reset it. The gear you aquired was carried over. That was a new and innovative thing which they have said will be featured in future tables.

New tourney in 9 days. Ghost better be ready.

Does this jam have any actual real tables or is it just ones made up for the game? I might grab it if I can play some stuff I want to learn more of, but I dunno how interested I am in 100% fake tables.

The new Balley\Williams arcade pinball has old classics like Black Hole.

Ah sold my xbox, couldn't tell ya. There's a demo though with 4 tables. That's what I had. I'm just jamming on the ps3 now. And iOS.

No, they are all made up tables in PINBALL FX2. Most tables have some wonky electronic-only action. I wish some were real (Excalibur's ball switch would be the fucking bomb).

The best real-tables-brought-to-console is the WILLIAM'S PINBALL HALL OF FAME for Wii. The Wii controls let you hold hands at table length and waggle on either side makes a difference in table bumping. The physics here are excellent too. That includes PINBOT, FUNHOUSE, WHIRLWIND, BLACK KNIGHT and some others.

Obviously the world waits for someone to digitize ADDAMS FAMILY, TWILIGHT ZONE, &c.

An XBLA title called THE PINBALL ARCADE has used Kickstarter to fund digitizing TWILIGHT ZONE.

Pinball Arcade is what myself and Mr Look shred on the iPad, we were already looking forward to TZ. Much rather have Addams Family, though I imagine that's a lot more complicated to get. Shame that I'd imagine Lord of the Rings (my favorite table) won't ever get digitized for similar cost reasons. Didn't know it was on XBLA too. I'll take Medieval Madness over any of those made up tables any day. Fun practice for visits to the real deal!
