Warning: Spoiler!I've been stuck on this puzzle for a while:
I'd just like to know if it is A or B.
A. It is a straightforward puzzle that requires me to solve it with both lines making it to an endpoint, following the standard rules for black/white squares and sunbursts.
B. There is some 'twist' to it that makes it not simply a basic line puzzle as described above.
I don't want to keep banging my head against this trying to solve it the standard way if there's something I'm not seeing that makes it different.
Legomancer wrote: It's both.
I only read hint 1 and 2 because I wasn't sure how specific you got after that.
The spoiler below talks about some puzzles I have been staring at for hours like a pigeon. I just peck at them and hope some kibble comes out.
Over in the tree houses, I have done everything I can seem to get my eyes on. I see some more paths from tree-to-tree, but can't seem to figure out how to get them activated. I can open the little timed gate, but don't have a path to get there in nearly enough time. I have been looking for reflections, I looked through the holes in the laser housing shed, I solved the puzzle on that far-away tree that leads to the Castle, but it only lights up partially. I walked around in the Mangroves, looking up, and don't see anything but some +XX puzzles. Some help on these two would be appreciated.
I finally beat the other half of the Castle's uber-puzzles, but nothing happened. I guess you just needed to get one of them to fire the laser and the other one just increments the panel count. Kind of a let down, that thing was tough.
Still working on the mountaintop's last bolt. I just need to angle this right, no biggie.
I still have to unlock the chamber at the beach by the Sun Temple and the little tunnel near the JTG that you can look at through like four different branch patterns.

You know the locked door into that church with the colored sunburst puzzle on it? You should open that door.
jeb wrote: I've unlocked everything there but the front fucking door.
This made me lol. Sorry...

Some of the bridge puzzle panels have multiple endpoints. I'd focus on those.

Yeah, same here. I still haven't gotten the door in the side of the mountain or in the rusty ship open. They limit the length of the lines or something. Was that ever taught anywhere? I don't remember ever learning something like that.
The length of lines aren't limited, but you have seen lines stop before, mid-puzzle. That's a clue you can work with.

I did some math on another panel we're both stuck on and it convinced me it's not solved the way I thought it was. Need to go back there and pay attention to what's going on.
//edit: and thanks for those tips! I will keep cracking.
Gary Sax wrote: Finished the marsh that has the blue blocks. Tricky, had me stop for a session and come back, but quite satisfying to do it. Now on the treehouse.
Those are some of the hardest puzzles to work out, in my opinion. I still have trouble wrapping my head around their multiple rules when I come across them.

Warning: Spoiler! Is it really as simple as the breaks in the grid are not visible?
@Gary Sax--yeah, that is a tough area. Some of those puzzles are crazy subtle. The Tree House's zone's puzzles are a little more easy to get into, but as noted above, I am stuck in it at the moment. Just keep w
Jeb's treehouse conundrum:
I could give a FUCK about the story, I still haven't unlocked any story. But the puzzles are so perfectly weighted in difficulty... I'm kind of in awe of the puzzle design in the game.
Finally FINALLY got that church thing working. What a relief. Thanks all for the Treehouse tips--that was the stickler. Managed to progress on the last frontier as well. Rocking this game.
The spoiler below discusses some puzzles in the late game.
The spoiler below has some speculation in it, late game stuff, again.

jeb wrote: How many leaves does your craggy tree have? I don't remember it having any--but i don't remember it NOT having any either. Mine has a few leaves--like three. This could be a looooong timer.
Mine has 2, unless a 3rd one was hiding somewhere I missed.
They've been there for a little while at least, but I have been stuck at the mountain for a while now, so like you, I have no idea when they showed up, or if they've been there the entire time.
