I was planning on getting the DS version though, as I don't have a 360 and recently switched from PC to Mac. I know I can get bootcamp to run windows, but I'm too cheap to buy Windows XP (which is hard to find and I don't want Vista) because my old XP disc is Service Pack 1, and I guess you need Service Pack 2.

But the DS won't get online leagues. Will it even get WiFi? So no DLC for it either. Unless they're priming it for the new DSi. hmm ... DS DLC on the DSi ... I like the sound of that.

I got the impression that the DS was a really stripped down version -- you can’t customize rules for seasons, players, teams and no player upgrades on the DS. That's a huge chunk of the game IMO. I guess if that's the only option, though...better than nothing.

One of my favorite things about BB is that they didn't bother to balance the races. Brilliant idea. June can't come soon enough. It's a first day buy for me.

So, why can't you install SP1 and then d/l and install the SP2 (and 3) service packs? The Service Packs are free and downloadable from MicroSloth...

My mac reads the Windows SP1 disc as a blank disc.

To dual-boot an intel-chipped Mac you have to be using a minimum of SP2. SP1 won't install on it.

Shame there's no halflings. I guess I'll have to go Gobbos but I always felt they were a poor half-measure for the coach that wanted extra-squishy crunchy.
