Battlefleet Gothic is on IOS

OMFG. Battlefleet Gothic just hit my PHONE.

It looks like the full game, it's even advertised as "the tabletop game for mobile".

I've done all of the tutorials and so far it is awesome. Squadrons, boarding, ramming, everything is there.

Right now it is just Blood Angels and Tyranids, but I'm sure they will add more. There is also multiplayer, haven't looked at it yet but it may have async.

So yeah, there is a full campaign too, assigning fleets, moving them around, earning new requisitions...this is like the space combat IOS game I have been wanting for years.

My ipad 2 is getting left in the dust ...

I hope it comes to Android. I think every other GW game has so far.

The new Iron Maiden game (Legacy of the Beast) just dropped this week and it's free. Haven't had time to check it out yet.

I bought this but have mixed feelings. It seems like a good system but I can't get past the interface. I think it needs a lot of polish. There is no way that I can tell, for example, what enemy ships are which by selecting them. Instead you need to cycle through all the ships that are present in the battle by pressing the card button, but it doesn't actually select the ships so I still have to guess what the ships are. It also gets confusing which friendly ship is actually firing during the combat phase. Also, I find it hard to see things like fighters and missiles, which are too small and very easy to miss. The games also zooms in at bad times and I have to use my fingers to touch the screen to zoom out again (which I fucking hate because I use a stylus and don't like to touch the screen, a pet peeve of mine with any app that forces you to touch the screen). Last but not least, the game crashed and the screen froze when I was well into the second tutorial. Don't know if I will try again anytime soon unless the issues are fixed.

I had one from 2011 and gave it to the tech in our department. It just felt like this extra thing that wouldn't fit in my pocket that kept asking for money.

And now Man O'War has hit Steam. Haven't gotten into it yet, but I thinkj we've now seen just about every old GW game save Dark Future come back to the table either in cardboard and plastic or digital format....
