ZWEIHANDER (WFRP) was created by Mr. White
Apparently, some long standing WFRP fans went about creating a 'not-wfrp' rpg...or maybe it's a retro clone...I dunno.

Anyway, if you miss the flavor of the Old World, these guys are calling this 2.5 of the system but a very similar setting.

I have some .pdfs of 2nd edition and I really like what I've read. If I had a reasonably serious group of roleplayers it's the system I'd run.

Sounds interesting, but I think I like DCC's tone of dark wacky zaniness over Zweihander's dark and serious tone. Still I'd give it a shot or preferably WFRP.

I looked at Zweihander back when it was a free fan project. It's pretty well done but seems a little redundant now that WFRP 2e is available on DTRPG as both POD and PDF (which wasn't the case when ZH began development; the WFRP line was OOP, hard to find, and expensive).

Reading the free samples of the final product from the Kickstarter, the authors really padded the whole thing out. It's super wordy and doesn't have to be.

How does the WFRP POD come out as a finished product, do you know?

Wow, that's cool news.

No direct experience with the WFRP PODs specifically, but I've gotten a bunch of other PODs from DTRPG -- hardback, paperback, B&W, full color -- and have been very happy with the results. Lines are sharp, binding holds up to lots of use at the table, etc. I will happily get more PODs from them in the future.

Might buy some WFRP at some point then, thanks!
