Labo for the Switch
More work than it’s worth, maybe? But a pretty fucking clever idea for console expansion. And for kids who already like to build/craft stuff and have a Switch, a must have, I’d assume.

This is sort of the same thing, but now your kids are making a piano out of cardboard and controlling it with their Switch.
It sounds like they'll be selling the cardboard separately and it's not like you can't just cut up an Amazon box and glue some repairs if you needed. Besides, the cardboard angle helps to sell it as a bit more environmental friendly than the giant waste of plastic that was the Wii 3rd party peripheral market.

Maybe in the cupboard where you once stored your childlike sense of wonder and whimsy?
I just showed my kids. Blew they minds.

It's also a whole lot more creative than it looks. You build these things yourself, so you (and your kids) get to see how they actually work. Because they're cardboard they're also just begging to be decorated, improved, fixed at home and generally made into something unique and tangibly yours which is an astonishing rarity in video games.
$80 sounds like a lot but as I understand it there's an additional electronic peripheral in the kit to make it work. So it's not all just sheets of cardboard to punch out. It is a bit of a shame they couldn't throw the robot in too for that price, though.
Unfortunately, I need a Switch first. So this is probably going to be a next-Christmas bundle of Console and Cardboard in our house: a joint present for me and the kids.

This is the same thing, just more interactive with the final project and switch powered. I love it.
If I already had a switch, this would be a no-brainer.
Maybe Christmas.

However, the Robot kit is £70 alone which seems crazy. Really can't imagine many people paying that for one single cardboard kit, however cool it is.
