The robot kit appears to include Miaymoto’s “Project Robo” game that was being talked about for Wii U a few years ago.

I’m in for both. Like LJ said, this is very much like those kids crafting/science kits but using the console to pilot them. It’s really like how LEGO Boost and other toys use tablets, but with Nintendo charm and it’s using a game console.

The robot set looks amazing, the part in the video where they take the back off and you can see the moving parts is awesome.
