Rennala down. Quite possibly the easiest From boss of all time. Her fight was REALLY cool though…the imagination in these games is just on a whole different level. I beat the first phase and was like come on that’s it…but then the second phase I was like OH NO. But the wolves and I just destroyed her.

I had a harder time fighting the Carian Jerkass before her…that dude just rolled me. But I lured him out and he got squished by the giant bowling ball LOL. Pretty proud of that one.

I’m hearing level 70+ for Radahn so I might spend some time in the ol’ valley of giants tonight. Or trying for another mine…the last couple I went into the miners just hit like a truck.

But her loot kind of sucks for me, Magic junk I can’t use. I might buy her clothes though.

I started using a mace, then I bought my Battle Axe at the Roundtable, and upgraded it a few times. I forgot how short the range is, heh.

I started fighting Margit and I can reliably get him to half health. I’m going to try to beat him without using the shackles or spirit ashes, which is probably stupid but I have a hang up from previous games about beating bosses without help. And in this case it’s even dumber because it’s not even another player helping me, it’s just items the game provides. Hopefully I’ll get over it and just play the damn game.

I say bah to all that git gud mentality. If whatever you are doing is enabling you to have fun, then you are playing it correctly.

I would just get used to using the spirit ashes! I think there are enough big mob fights in this game that the game is calibrated to use them to draw aggro in a bunch of situations, but ymmv.

I decided to just use the shackles on Margit as it just sped up the fight and I got him.

I'll definitely use the ashes in non-boss fights. We'll see about boss fights.

I'm in an area with tons of guys that hit you with the death status and man that sucks

I've been pumping my vitality with the pustules accessory and the scarlet rot knight armor to help with status effects like that.

I cleared out Fort Faroth and could not believe how many runes I got out of there. Also was disappointed that you can’t equip both Radagar talismans.

I hit that giant dragon in the back knee in complete safety for like 5 minutes and it gave me 80k I think? I kept expecting something to attack me but hey I'll take it.

I also died like 10 times trying to platform up the nearby tower before going fuck this and putting it on the "do this later" list.

nearby tower? The one in the fort has a ladder. Or is there something else I haven't paid attention to...

It's nearby in Caelid, down the hill past all the dragons. It's real big. You have to platform up the sides, because who doesn't love platforming in this game

I was fighting this pretty rough Gargoyle boss just now. The first one is pretty mean by himself, and then when you get him to half health another one shows up. I was getting close, but by the time I killed the first one generally my ash boys would be pretty beat up/dead and id be low enough on flasks that i want making it through yet. But I was getting there yknow. So anyway on like my 6th try the first guy did a leaping attack right at the beginning of the fight and just flew off a cliff and died... So that made that fight a lot easier I'll take that every time, thanks From Software.

Pro Tip: Stop by the Warmaster’s Shack at night if you want to get your ass kicked.

The nighttime fights are fun. I need more holy stuff for a particular night boss in Caelid.

I got to Leonine, the boss of Castle Mourne, and after a couple of tries of getting nowhere, I thought, "I don't have time for this" and summoned my wolves and took him down immediately. ASHES HERE I COME!
