I kind of want to trade for a 360...

Last night I had this dream- like twice- that I was trading somebody for a 360. When I woke up, I realized that I'd kind of like to do that.

See, I'm a video games cheapskate. I'm not willing to pay for it. But I am willing to swap somebody some stuff. Anybody have one they want to unload? My only stipulation is that I don't get the RROD as soon as I turn it on ("Surprise, Barnes!")

I'm willing to trade pretty heavy for it, of course...looking at the shelves I see a couple of things that could be part of a trade...AGE OF RENAISSANCE, TIDE OF IRON plus DAYS OF THE FOX, REEF ENCOUNTER...RISK: BLACK OPS. I dunno, if anybody has one they'd like to unload for some board games, let me know what you're looking for in trade. Cash can be part of a deal, that's cool. I'm just not buyin' at retail!

Couldn't you sell this for more than the cost of a 360?

Probably, but I don't want to sell it. So somebody could trade me that $200 360 package and turn a profit. Call me dumb, but that's how I roll.

Barnes, to dodge RRoD, you need to be pretty stalwart about only agreeing to trade for a Jasper (or later--though Jasper is current) chipset. It should come with a 150W output power supply (not 175W) and have a lot number 0843 or higher.

If you get a Falcon it will fail and you will cry.

Thanks for the info, Jeb...I've kind of been wondering about that. Not like anyone is going to trade a 360 for a pile of board games anyway...I mean, come on. REEF ENCOUNTER free with trade!

Dudes at the Best Buy were so stoked when I made them keep pulling out more 360s from the back so I could check the W output since I got my 360 pretty soon after the new chipset came out. And by stoked I mean they got real pissed and wouldn't get anymore so I had to go somewhere else.
