Expansion or Extinction takes 2 to 4 players into a future where Sol, after colonizing many of the closest stars, succumbed to internal pressures and died in a fiery holocaust of future weaponry. Now earth’s colonies are recovering, and beginning to exert their own dominance on the stars around them. Based on the award-winning Triumph and Tragedy game system, Expansion or Extinction expands upon this proven and highly popular game system.

The P500 system is where a potential buyer places a pre-order through the website. Once at least 500 people have placed a pre-order, the game is put into GMT's production queue. The more people that have pre-orded, the higher priority GMT puts on getting the game printed and released. The pre-order price is usually at a steep discount from the retail price after release and the customer is NOT charged until the game is ready to ship.

Pray for a solid artist. On the positive side, I think GMT has some pretty interesting old school takes on sci-fi... think about Space Empires and Talon.

Also, our forum goers very big on the underlying game system:

I actually like the mildly generic sci fi artist they've been getting for talon:

I don't know. I've always thought GMTs non war games were too wargamey looking. Never played Talon but space 4x was drab

My first P500! I personally would have more interest in Triumph & Tragedy but the people I game with will dig a sci-fi setting more.
