An escape room style game where you get to be one of the Scooby gang.

In Scooby-Doo: Escape from the Haunted Mansion, players take on the roles of the teen sleuths and their courageous canine pal to solve a mystery! Work together to decode clues and find your way out of the haunted mansion in this co-operative "Coded Chronicles" game. Can you solve the mystery of Lady Fairmont's ghost with the help of Mystery, Inc.?

In more detail, more than fifty clues are hidden in the pieces and interactive game board to help you discover what happened in Lady Fairmont's haunted mansion! Players share five narrative booklets to be read as everyone works together to fill in the story's missing details. Different parts are kept in secret envelopes to be opened as the crew unlocks the answers.

Scooby-Doo: Escape from the Haunted Mansion is the debut title in The Op's new line of Coded Chronicles games.

I don't care if The Spawn is 21, we are totally going to play this together.

My spawn is 5 and still finds Scooby slightly too scary, but I think she will be into this.

Not buying regardless but I've never played an Escape Room board game. Is it something you play through once then toss out?

It should come with a canned laughter soundtrack.

Looks like another lazy game design where somebody takes a currently trendy mechanic and awkwardly combines it with a licensed setting. Scooby Do was never about an escape room, it was about solving "a mystery," generally by bumbling around an allegedly haunted location while running away from fake ghosts and accidentally catching the bad guy.

I have good memories of watching Scooby Doo with my dog by my side as a kid. Any attempts to watch the show since have shown it to be garbage. They are iconic characters though so I can understand others interest in the IP.
