Wargamer from the 70's, omnigamer from the 80's onwards. Prefer meaty stuff with theme, and a 2-3 hour play time.
Currently podcasting on The Dice Tower, doing the GameTek segment, and co-hosting Ludology, which dives into the details of what makes a game worth playing, and tries to make some sense of it.
My son & I have a game published by ZMan called The Ares Project, which was our attempt to translate computer RTS games into a card/boardgame format.
I'm a long-haired hippy gamer who works for a big defense contractor. Started life as an RPGer and chit-pushin' flunky. Took a hiatus from gaming. Then I discovered Euros and Arkham Horror a couple of years ago...and then rediscovered that sending little cardboard squares to their death and rollin' dice was still my favorite way to kill time. :)
+1 cartoonist and designer of unique, esoteric miniature games. Also, apparently the world's leading expert on Rollerball.

I like to fiddle with retheming games, and overall improving the play experience of my fave games through adding personal touches to them. My creativity is about my most relevant contribution to the hobby at large.
