Thought some people here might be interested in this. Hope it's not old news.
Microlite20 is a super-rules-light hack of 3.x d20. The PHB is two pages, as is the DMG, MM, spell list, equipment list, etc. All smallish (but still totally legible) text. And it's complete.
The game itself has a total old-skool 1st-edition feel. No expansive, pedantic rules for everything. No need to lug around 150lbs of books. Just fun!
Also noteworthy is the PocketMod versions (based off pocketmod.com ) -- you can carry a complete RPG, including adventures, in your back pocket. Just add dice and a pencil or two. I'm totally digging this.

This looks good. I have been thinking about running a Planescape campaign and wondering what ruleset to use. I didn't like 3.x and imagine I will find 4 even worse. This looks exactly like the kind of thing I want: rules that won't get in the way of the fun. It's nice to see they are old school too, no superpowers (feats).

One potential snag deriving from eliminating feats is that it can make conversion from existing characters or adventures more difficult: the assumption is that all PCs will also have feats, so they can compete with Baron von Uberlich or whoever.
There's a fix in the Advanced Rules for this. Basically, it gives you a bonus of X, usable Y times per day, on whatever you want (damage, to-hit, saves, skills). X and Y depend on your level. It looks like it scales pretty well and keeps the characters competitive without feats.
