The Return of The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31
Game Information
The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31 is being re-printed.
Originally released in 2017, The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31 quickly sold out. If you missed out on the first printing, and have been wincing at the current price of $300 or more for a used copy, never fear. A reprint is in the works and scheduled to hit the shelves this Autumn. This will be a straight up reprint of the original standard game with no changes other than the back of the box.
The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31 is a cooperative game with hidden traitors. An alien lifeform has infiltrated a bleak and desolate Antarctic research station assimilating other organisms and then imitating them. You will relive John Carpenter's sci-fi cult classic in a race to discover who among the team has been infected by this heinous lifeform.
Play as one of 12 characters as you lead a series of investigations through the facility using supplies and equipment to clear the building. The tension mounts and paranoia ensues as you question who you can trust in the ultimate race to save humanity!

We determined after only a play or two it's much better for any infected to simply play as a good guy. There's no incentive to deviate from this strategy.
I plan to give my copy to a friend of mine who likes it more than I do. My biggest complaints are that you never want to play past 6 players since people just sit around doing nothing, and as Charlie mentions, there just isn't enough opportunity to be "evil" when infected. It's entirely in character to act as human as possible. Unfortunately that is not very fun.
