Found all my old Magic cards

All this crap is from Homelands, Ice Age, and earlier. I'm pretty sure the dual lands and demonic tutors are worth something. Will most game stores buy this crap? What's a lot of about 1000+ cards of old sets worth?

If you have a card that says “Mox” and it shows jewelry I will buy it for $50. No one wants them they are not as powerful as a Craw Wurm.

Fuck, even back then the Mox and Black Lotus cards were rare as fuck lol

Sadly, I used to laugh at Black Lotus being sold for like $500. What sort of dork would BUY that?

Dual lands were also rare, but I shelled out for 3 for about $40 back then. A pretty good investment now lol

So most of this crap is worth NOTHING. Except for my Arabian Nights, Legends, and Unlimited cards. Even Autumn Willow and Jesters Cap are worthless now lol. Man, those used to be bomb.

Most importantly, I found 4 decks I had made that are still intact. Total 90s style Magic - stored in old starter boxes, no sleeves and filled with cards alien to modern players. Maybe I should hit the gaming store, pull out an old deck and chat about the newest Smashing Pumpkins album with my black/blue control deck.

If you have a U/B control deck with 3 underground seas, that's a grand easily.

And the new smashing pumpkins album is surprisingly good if the couple singles released are any indication, haha.

2 Underground seas, a set of demonic tutors, and lots of bizarro blue spells that dicked people around or let me draw cards. Spectrals and royal assassins to lock down the opponent, and some artifacts (no black lotus or mox lol)

When these decks were built, we were in Siamese Dream and just entering Melloncholy days!

The weird thing about Legacy decks now is that they usually don't play an automatic 4-of those duals because of the ability to use these* to "fetch," and people run some basics because of Wasteland. (Strip Mine is BANNED).

If I happened across those cards I'd try to make the black blue Death's shadow deck for Legacy. It's hilarious and you're got half of the value already probably. 2 Underground seas is probably enough.



Force of Will is real expensive tho.

The short version of what's happened to magic in the last 25 years is that threats are better but about half of the best spells and artifacts are old.
