OK. Here's Game 1. So far the lineup- if you haven't picked a side, do it, boss!

Barnes: England
Psuedointellectual: Protestants
Bill Abner: France
Gary Sax: Hapsburg
Schlupp: Ottomans
Matt Thrower: Catholics
MBallinger: Moderator (If it's cool with you)

If you don't see your name, go check out Game 1. I tried to include everyone who I saw that was interested. We can do a third game if there's interest, but I think it'd be best if nobody gets in all 3.

Please remember these are trial games- expect rules leniency and a lot of fuck ups. Most of us are first timers.

We're using Cyberboard Gamebox and ACTS card tracking. Everything you need is on Ed Beach's HIS site.

We'll try to get things rolling ASAP.

Cool, I'm in! Don't matter which force I'll be playing. As I haven't played yet maybe Protestants or Ottomans? Seem to be the ones, which are not as complicated.

Cheers for including me. Have to get down reading the rules now...

Schlupp--I would probably play the Ottomans as a pure first timer if you relatively indifferent on sides.

Yes, happy to moderate. Once we determine who is what I will create the ACTS game. Everybody should check into this thread and email me their ACTS name so I can find them on the list. I'm at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Everybody should go get the cyberboard version 2 module at

OK - I haven't read all the threads about this and I'm not even sure about the game itself. How long is this envisaged to take, and what's the expected turns/day or turns/week from players ?

Damn - sorry I missed the start of these games - I'd love to give this a go. I'm going away at the weekend for a couple of weeks, but if there's a game starting around April 20th, count me in. I've got the game, but no exposure to Cyberboard / ACTs as yet.

Thanks

Sit tight guys- if these folks back down you're alternates. A couple of thse people haven't confirmed they want in. So Tom, you're 1st alternate and then PC. Unless there's some kind of rule about not having two Bunnymen fans in one game.

I hope this will begin a long series of F:AT HIS games. And yes, we will have need for substitutes.

Each turn sees a 48 hour diplomacy round, then "spring", then 4 to 7 impulses, then "winter". If everybody gets an impulse in each day then expect 10 days to a turn. Some turns will go much faster, so expect about two months for a game.

Awesome. First timer w/ HiS here as well so I have no preference as far as sides go. If there's a side that a first timer should definitely NOT be -- then I'll avoid that one.

OK so I'm looking at the website and I read under Tips, "Assign the Hapsburgs to the most experienced player...Assign the Hapsburgs to a quick player who has the most familiarity with the Here I Stand rules.

Barnes!!!

I formally choose France. :)
