Are these under the radar games or more bottom of the barrel?
Can anyone speak on either of these?
I playtested and played Winds of Plunder a ton. Al Newman (the designer) was in my old game group. Make no mistake: Winds of Plunder is a Euro with a pirate theme. It is fun, but it has an odd "control the wind " element that some people find off-putting. Also, there is a military strategy (cannons) that's a little too strong. Take a skill/resource away from a player and add that to your own supply? Pretty brutal. Not bad for the price, but I've played the game a ton. I'd play it again, but not dying to play it.
