That looks tasty, but not $100 tasty. I would pay $25 for the DVD, but not $50. But it doesn't matter because they already have $65,000 in backing. Whoa.

It's tough with some of them because the shipping to Canada wipes out any pre-order savings, so the Extras have got to be what sells the game (which is why I probably won't back tDtCtAC, and wait for retail instead)
I found out that there is no extra shipping to Canada. It's the same as US shipping. Only 9 hours to go!

I love the idea for this but I'm not sure I see the advantage to me of kickstarting it. If it's published I will be able to pick it up at the usual outlets at a possible discount (coolstuff etc). Correct??
I get kickstarting a film or arts project far more than funding a physical item. I figure for funding a physical item I should be getting a share in the profit for funding it. Isn't that how companies traditionally raise money? What is now so wrong with this method?

This is the part I'm a bit unclear on with the Traveller book. I'm sure the CD will end up for sale at some point somewhere, but I didn't quite understand if there was going to be a distribution deal with the hardcover too. (I also didn't give a particularly close read of the project description...)

I'll take the pdf when it becomes available and print it out here as a hardcover. It certainly won't be $100 to print it out (even as a hard cover). I was quoted $40 maximum for a hardcover print last week .
