Review Detail

I've only Axis & Allies played once, but that first game was so bad that I had no desire to ever play again. There were some interesting ideas, but gameplay seemed very programmed towards certain specific opening moves. Various mechanics seemed unbalanced, and the overall game seemed comprised of pieces that didn't fit together. It was long and complex, which doesn't normally bother me, but A&A's complexity served only to emphasize the inherent lack of fun.
