Hey folks
I recently had 2 copies of this classic Aulic/Sleuth cat-n-mouse game pass through my hands. I opted to keep the 2nd edition, which had the boring board (but all the administrative stuff like the police track and the deck areas on the border of the map) and awfully vague rules, and traded the 3rd edition [which had a clean rewrite of the rules and a much cooler map] for a copy of Magic Realm [just couldn't pass it up].
However, before I traded it, I made a high-res scan of the great map and the rulebook. I had a graphic artist at work piece together the scans in photoshop so the map can be printed on a plotter (I think it's 19x23 or so) and laminated--it looks great)
I'm currently going about recreating the cards because the originals were pretty much on construction paper and aren't going to survive many more plays without disintegrating [I'm actually very tempted to get a custom deck made from regular playing-card stock].
I can provide scans of the cards [as I'm making them to archive for down the road. I'll probably have an artist-friend at work do up new art at some point] as well as a scan of the various counters so you can make your own if you so choose.
Since this game can fetch a fortune on ebay and hardly ever comes up, if anyone wants the map and rules to make a PnP edition, let me know and I'll make it available for download. Counters and cards will be a while in coming, but I'll make a list of folks who want it and send along PDFs as they become available.

Keep us posted...I'm definitely interested. The Masons did it, you know?

From Hell is a thing of beauty. [Actually, the movie ain't half-bad either...]
Edit: I can send the map rules and scans of the original cards [a couple are off-kilter but you'd have to cut them out individually anyway thanks to me not laying them out on a grid] immediately for folks who just want to play. The counters still need to be scanned....
