WFRP now a boardgame?!

Hmm. I'm not sure if I like it more now or not. Being a lazy GM, I think this would be good for me, not sure if it's going to fly with my game group though. They like the freedom that WFRP afforded them.

The 100 dollar price tag is a big off putting also.

I think this is a really bad idea. It looks to have lost all three things that made the original system so spellbinding: unique mechanics, a well-realised combination fantasy/horror setting and a long, proud history of top-notch adventures and expansions.

But then again I wouldn't buy it in either guise, so I'm not exactly target market. I don't RPG any more and if I did I have a perfectly good 1st edition rulebook to use.

I dunno, this looks like a pretty great idea to me. FFG is continuing to bridge the gap between RPGs and boardgames in a way that really interests me. I have zero time for old-school RPGs any more due to the preparation involved, but if this thing is as user-friendly as it appears it could be awesome.

$100 though, yikes. At that price I'd have to take up a collection from my group to make it financially viable.

I cannot believe how much stuff FFG is pumping out. It's mind-boggling.

100 $ for 4 RPG books, a ton of dice and some cardboard bits sounds good. You already get the magic and priest expansion books in the starter set, so that doesn't sound like a bad deal at all.

It looks incredible to me. I think RPGs need to move in that direction to remain relevant. With the $100 price tag, isn't that more or less what DnD costs when you have to buy three books?
