If you guys think Euors suck you are playing them all wrong I tellz ya!

I guess I am pretty lucky to play with a bunch of folks who banter all the time. I am quite convinced that we could make any game and make it fun. Even the games that garner the most criticism for being multiplayer solitare. Barring that we usually have a game on the TV in the background, so there's always that

More plastic than an Action Man!

I have to agree with Van the Man here. Eurogames can be a lot of fun, too! (I've been there, believe me, it's true!) Of course not all of them, but at least some. Whenever you have negotiations in a game, that makes up for a lot trash talk and fun and certainly no "Ssshh, be quiet, I'm trying to plan my move here!" behavior.

Play a game of "Traders of Genoa", "Chinatown" or "Settlers" (even the vanilla version without Knights and Cities) and you are bound to have fun playing it, otherwise you play it wrong or play it with the wrong crowd.

That's the whole problem - eurogames attract the wrong crowd !
And if you are a slightly raucous, over-the-top person then playing with these quieter, more analytic gamers can destroy the best of euro games.

If you check my top rated gamess at BGG you'll see 'Power Grid' and 'Age of Steam' (because I used to be an engineer and love building things) and 'Puerto Rico' at the top of the list so I'm happy playing certain types of euro games - but if the other participants have trouble raising a Yeeee-ha between them then I'd rather sit at home and play monopoly or Yu-gi-oh (I quite like this actually) with my lad.

I would agree its not always the eurogame that sucks but often the eurosnoots.
