Need help on some dice icon examples

I'm working on a game in which I want to trigger some effects if the player rolls certain dice combos, and I'm looking for some examples from published games that use iconography to communicate these combos well. For example, let's say I want an effect to trigger on ANY double, whether it's 2 3s, 2 7s, etc. I could show two dice icons, but what would I put on them? If you put a specific number, the player will think you have to get doubles of only that number. If you put a ?, the player might think it just means any two results.

Further, sometimes I want the effect to be doubles of only a certain range of values, such as 1 - 4. In this example, valid doubles would be rolling 2 2s, 2 3s, etc.

It gets complicated quickly, and if some game with great graphic design has already figured this visual language out, I might as well check it out. Any ideas?

No immediate help. But Dice Throne has a lot of situations like this (They represent a small straight (ex. 2, 3, 4, 5) with 4 blank die faces of increasing size), so they might be a good example if you have access to someone's copy.

I'll check some of the games I have. I'm thinking maybe Eurphoria addressed this. Also, maybe check some dice centric games on BGG. They might have instruction manuals uploaded.

An isometric line drawing of a d6 might work as an indicator of a generic d6 roll with an equal sign between them to indicate doubles. For a range of values a (1-4) over the equal sign, or above/below the entire graphic, might work.

Ra: The Dice Game has icon-heavy player aids but I think it's pretty bare bones compared to what you're attempting.

I checked Euphoria, no icons were used to describe it. Nothing in my other dice heavy games applies. I'll keep a look out.

Something like that, maybe? Have the pips there, so people know you're talking about dice, but fade them out and have the qualifying conditions in a darker colour?
