I've been looking for a skirmish-level SF minis game for a while and I found this on TMP a couple days ago. Not a 40k variant as far as rules go, just warbands/units from that setting both new and old. I'm pretty psyched about it and am lining up the minis I need to buy. I played Necromunda years ago but never got into 40k and I do like the game's background. These rules are free and that's always good:

ITEN

I am excited to take a look at this. I was a huge Necromunda fan, and played 40k up to 2nd edition. I want to try Inquistor, but did not like the bigger minis.

Thanks for sharing the link.

Got a chance to glance over the rules. Rules seem simple and straightforward, uses D6s, I wish more games would make use of many-sided dice. But simple is not a bad thing and it does a good job of getting all the weapons and armor and stuff included.

I liked the various war bands, cool to see genestealer cults and ork bands. There were house rules for them in Necromunda also. But also squats and Eldar pirates (with Zoats!)and a bunch of others.

I'd play this, might be easier to find a partner than for Necromunda.

I should print this, GW won't let it stay up for long.

This is probably the most important point. Grab this thing now before The Great Cease & Desist Machine starts firing on all cylinders.

I guess the group responsible for ITEN has had this stuff up since last year. I wonder if it will still be up at this time next year.

The warbands are definitely cool. There's old school Rogue Trader stuff and the Judge Dredd Imperials. The force lists more than anything are attracting me to the game. Looks like around 10 minis for each retinue are required and that's a nice manageable number. I know for a fact plenty of local gamers have all the minis required to play so the chances of actually playing this are good.
