One of my friends has been struggling to recruit players for his Starfinder rpg campaign, so he started hanging out in game shop in the west metro that is known primarily as a place to play Magic. He has managed to scrape together a small group of players, but finds their lack of social skills to be an ongoing challenge. Apparently it was common years ago for parents to dump their kids at this shop for some free weekend daycare, and so much of their socialization came from interacting with other Magic players.

I take this information with a grain of salt, because this same friend was actually a hassle during my last rpg campaign. He tended to be abrasive to new players, and at one point quit my campaign because I wouldn't get a rid of a player that he disliked. After a few months, my friend rejoined the campaign and ended up tolerating the player that he disliked. The campaign lasted four years, and they were the two players with the most reliable attendance (aside for that period of a few months).
