..and they used her card in the announcement.

That dude on the card is my brother in law.

EDIT: To hell with it, I'll just post it here.

She's done 2 Call of Cthulhu cards, 2 Game of Thrones card, 1 Warhammer Invasion, and 1 Lord of the Rings.

Very, very cool.
How long does something like that take to make?

She's had to really rush the stuff she's done for them. It depends on how many card they hit her up for. She likes to have about 2 weeks, but if they ask for 2 or more at a time, she may only have a week or even half of one.

The paintings she does on her own take quite a bit longer. There's one on her site of me that took the better part of 6 months (but FFG jobs were in those 6 months as well, which slowed work on it down.

That's NOT for the FFG game, that was one she did for the hell of it. The scan really doesn't do it justice, it's fucking INCREDIBLE in real life. There's a certain luminosity to it...I've got in my living room, I feel like Bill Murray in ZOMBIELAND.

Here's the link to her site to see some more of her work. I don't think any more of her FFG stuff is up to due the contract.

2 weeks full time? Wow, that's a lot of work.
My next question was going to be why they hit her (and everyone else) up for so few cards, but I guess that answers that question.

Well, it's not quite full time. She works her day job 4 days a week, but when she has an assignment, a majority of her time at home is spent working on paintings.

They'll send out an email to their freelancers (which is what the LCGs run on, as far as I can tell), and ask them how many they want. They'll accommodate the best they can. Asking for too many can be trouble though, since FFG's deadline is a pretty small window. Some of the other people she knows in the sci-fi/fantasy field who do book covers and stuff for WotC are a bit shocked when they hear how short FFG's deadline is...then again, they put out new cards every month, which I don't think Magic does.

She is very talented. I really like her compositions.
In particuliar the colors on the girl blowing bubbles are very rich.

So Josh- are you the steampunk dude?

Actually, that's my brother.

I'm the scarecrow in the steampunk Wizard of Oz one though.
