The B Brothers' Boardgame Bash - Huntsville, AL

While nothing is entirely set in stone, Ken and I are looking to host the 2nd Annual B Brothers' Boardgame Bash in Huntsville, AL. The tentative date right now is September 15. My current plan is to actually have a few people over starting on Friday, maybe even Thursday. I'm still working out the deal with my wife, but if anyone wants to come in from out of town, I can house four people comfortably (couch, recliner, two guest beds). Obviously, I can house a few more people than that, but you'd have to remove the comfortable part.

The event will be held at the Foundry (FLGS). The Foundry is very excited about hosting a boardgaming event. The store can hold about 35 people in their main gaming area.

About the Bash, do you think you can make it, GL, or are you too busy looking for Ryan Reynolds?

Not at all. I can find Mr. Reynolds in any of a dozen movies released this year. He's this decades Colin Farrel or something.

I'll definitely try to make the Bash and will keep checking in for details.

Awesome stuff. I'm down for another game of Nothing Personal, just be prepared to be sleepin' wit da fishes.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the Foundry, but in my first correspondence, they indicated that the 15th was free.

Ken and I haven't heard back from Ian. He normally hosts an event every other Friday. While I can't speak for him, it's a strong possibility that he shows up.

If anyone needs a place to stay, my wife has agreed to let a few people stay on Saturday. If there is enough interest in Friday, I'll try and push the idea.

Just a thread bump/update...

It will definitely be the 15th at The Foundry in Huntsville, AL. They are graciously hosting us for FREE, that means entry this year is gratis, nothing, zip, nada. Just a full day of gaming.

The last word that I had was that either of two locals, Troy or Ian, would gladly host a Friday night game session as well. If people are coming in overnight that Friday, let us know so we can figure out arrangements.

We'll start at 10am that Saturday and literally game until they kick us out.

I'll drive in right after school which would put me there around 6:30. Is David Knepper coming? Ill see if Richard wants to come as well.

I think Knepp said that he unfortunately had a wifely thing he had going on that specific weekend. It was difficult to nail down a "perfect" weekend due to other stuff like Gamefest South and other conventions in the August-September window. The 15th was one that didn't infringe on any of them.

Steve, if you do have some extra folks let us know if they'll need somewhere to stay, or if you'd rather get a hotel, or whatever so we can help you guys figure that out and get settled.
