Oooh, I'd love to make it. Looks like a roughly 2.5 hour drive. Hmmm, I'll have to consult with the mother of my children.

If I can swing it, I will also bring additional pie.

And Thrilling Tales of Adventure? Please!

Pie AND TToA .... hmmmm, just about worth a trip across the pond ... but my cab driver won't be there - so next time.

(Of course there's no reason why TToA can't cross the pond to be tested by a different cultural cross-section of subhumanity - an obnoxious kiwi and some poms)

Uba, how far away is your place from New Haven? I will have leverage in my negotiations if I can promise to stop by an Ikea, and I think New Haven is the closest one.

Thrilling tales of adventure and pie? How many free spaces do you have?

Someone must take and post photos of this...it sounds like it's going to be a complete whiskey-fueled riot.

Sounds more like an afternoon of board games and pie which isn't usually what springs to mind when I hear 'whiskey fueled riot,' but you never know. I sure would love to check out Thrilling Tales of Adventure though. It's had me slavering since I read the first post about it on BGG.

I think it should be mandatory that all attendees bring pie and/or alcohol. I would speciy wiskey but I'm a rum drinker and I want to leave my options open if I ever get back north one of these days.

Peach Pie AND Thrilling Tales of Adventure?!?!?!?!?! I love everything peach, and I REALLY want to try TToA.

Dammit! Right before Uba posted this I had made plans for that weekend to fly out to WA. Maybe next time though.

It's an hour further down south. I'm between you and Ikea if you take about a 15 minute detour off the highway.

I can seat 26 comfortably. If we get more than that all at once, we get creative. Usually everyone who says they want to come don't show up. And people never show up all at once. We get the folks that arrive at 2 and leave at 6, and then those that show up at 6 and stay until midnight.

So far I have 14 yeses, and 2 maybes.

To anyone coming up from NY and without a car, as long as you don't dealing with my time table, I'm happy to collect you at the New Haven train station and cart you up to the woods with us.

Similarly, Jason, if you need to stop off for a minute while at Ikea, we're about 5 mins away.

I think I have some Capt'n Morgans in the cupboard, but I'd have to check. Usually don't re-stock that until apple cider season.

Ohhh hard cider, I have a big case we made last fall. It's more hard than cider I think, somewhere in the 12-15% range.
