Not any more. It seems to be more like $80 now. Someone on a different forum was looking for a copy and that was the best they could do.

Yeah dude, didn't you hear, that gimmicky dice fest with the foul smelling pieces that we were all cromagnum men for enjoying went OOP and now it's worth $80 a copy because smelly bearded guys want to keep it locked away in a closet

Huh? Sniping at the end does not equate to a bidding war. You decide "what something is really worth to you and bid that" for your snipe.
Oops, NeonPeon and jeb said this on the next page.

You seem to assume that you'll be the only person sniping. In my experience several people will try sniping an auction near the end. I've SEEN them start overbidding each other in the final minutes many times. I bet you guys have done that too even if you won't admit it. Bidding early doesn't give people time to decide if they want to outbid you because they don't know what your maximum is until its reached. Except you're less likely to impulsively try to outbid them if they pass your maximum. So I stand by that if everyone stopped sniping and just put in their maximum bid up front it'd be in their best interest. You guys go ahead and try sniping each other for the win though. Hopefully do it on one of my auctions.

Rubbish! It makes no difference whatsoever if I'm not the only one sniping. You are the one assuming, when you say "I've SEEN them start overbidding each other in the final minutes many times." Are you seriously suggesting that because you've seen this happen 'many times' then it means that everyone does this? Credit me with some intelligence: having decided my maximum and set the snipe, I leave it to get on with it. As for "I bet you guys have done that too even if you won't admit it", what can I say? If you've decided that is the way it is, regardless of evidence to the contrary, then there's no point in my arguing with a closed mind.

To add to the Sniping discussion, it's not proper sniping unless it is done with just a few seconds left. It has to be done right before the auction ends, so that you don't get into a bidding war (which is the whole point of sniping).

I wasn't going to bother adding this yesterday, my bidding war experience is the opposite of what Mad Dog claims. It only happened once, because I was sat watching the auction end. Using jBidWatcher thereafter meant I wasn't at the keyboard when auctions ended, thus preventing me from getting into a bidding war.

On a tangent, when did those gouging pricks raise the final Value fee to 9.9% ?!!
I thought I might move some games on but am totally averse to giving them that much of a cut.
