When does QP Cloudy get out of NOOB jail?

QP Cloudy is routinely derided (by Barnes) as a fuckin' NOOB...

So my question is... has he got any chance at all of ever getting outta NOOB jail?

Also, was his avatar-change stunt a transparent and weak-assed attempt to quietly ditch NOOB status ??

It's a staple now ... QP Cloudy is a NOOB just like Ken is always coming back.

If he advances past NOOB status, then he gains access to the secret part of the site. Right now, he probably doesn't even know it exists. Let's keep it that way.

When he wins a multiplayer game — in any title — on iOS.

QP Cloudy has not demonstrated, to my mind, his ability to transcend the kind of thumb-in-ass bumpkin mindset that typifies the internet NOOB. I've got a document on my desk that just needs my signature to elevate QP Cloudy to just NOOB status (that's better than fuckin' NOOB), but I've not seen empirical evidence that he is ready to make that transition. I need to see some changes in his behavior and attitude here that point toward a more worldly, experienced user or a $50 Coolstuffinc.com gift certificate in lieu of said changes to be able to make that decision.

QP can get upgraded when Ken B stops coming back, Avery wears sleeves or Steve Weeks apologizes. It's that simple.

Not a scrolling banner, just a ticker that indicates the number of days since he hasn't been back.

There was a time when I would have welcomed a Ken B. status tracker on our front page. But I believe I speak for a majority of F:ATties that his "Welcome Back Kotter" antics have worn thin. Someone really needs to tell that guy "in or out, buddy, which is it". There are also rumblings that he is just doing this for the cake and pie that we typically serve in the F:AT office to celebrate his serial homecomings. I don't mean to cast aspersions, but with each subsequent "prodigal son" moment more and more brows are furrowed.

As for QP Cloudy,the quality of posts just isn't there although the quantity is. He simply isn't posting up to the lofty standards set by other, much more experienced F:ATties. I have often thought about suggesting that he apprentice with one of you 1000+ post members. I think a little mentoring might go along way with him. Often, when reading his posts, I can almost hear him whispering in my mind "will someone please tell me how to use this Web site".

If quality is what you're looking for, and is the qualifier as "no longer a n00b", then there's a lot more of us n00bs than not.
