the default color scheme is made of ass

Hot buttered ass. Seriously, it's awful. You don't need to be pretty, but this shit is unreadable--give us some options, man! I managed 5-Color.com about a million years ago and set it up with a nice black scheme, but most everyone just used subSilver or whatever the hell the default was because they actually wanted to read. I have to believe Joomla has a switch to let us pick. Please, tell me they have a switch.

What are you, some kind of metrosexual? You probably TiVo "What Not to Wear" and watch it with your show cats. Ohh, let's redecorate the Fortress in a lovely silver gray with a gentle blue accent and a touch of yellow as a punch color. Then after that we can discuss how character depictions in Runebound offend out delicate sensibilities.

I can´t read the red text on this black background, I don´t care what color you pick, but change the red text please!

MY EYES! MY EYES! Please change the title block color to something with more contrast. How about a bright blood red instead of whatever color is used now. Kinda reminds me of the color of fresh dog crap.

On Firefox, go to Tools, Options, Fonts & Colors. Then click the box that lets websites set their own colors.

Just changing the text color from white to light gray will make a world of difference in readability. Reading a full page blog post in bright white text on a black background gives me a headache.

Agree.
This is painful to read the white text. Not to mention the red.

And I disagree with suggesting that people should change their default browser colors, for obvious reasons.

The plan is this simple. You won't be getting a headache from this site anymore after you read it for about one week several minutes a day.

However you shouldn't change to BGG to quickly, cause this is giving you a real headache when the F:AT site reappears slightly in BGG's light background color.

Oh, looks like I found a solution. Hit the "quote" button next to every post. The test in the reply box is a pleasant gray color.

I took your advice. I admit it, I do a fair amount of surfing at work, and it's harder to get away with it with this site's standard color scheme. So now I'm looking at mostly black text on a white screen, with some text in blue or purple when it relates to a link or command. I may need to switch back while using certain legit websites that relate to my job.
