This is my favorite of the TE games I've played. Clean, great narrative arc, never enough actions, etc.

I think "clean" is probably the best description of it. It just SEEMS obvious, even though there's some intricacy involved in terms of how to use Upgrade actions and the choice between landing on planets and orbiting them and so on.
