I end up recreating the scenarios from the Vassal mods. I would love to get the maps printed on one continuous paper ribbon, like butcher paper.

I've been out of the M'44 game for quite a while. Is this the book that was in the old Air Pack, or is there a newer version?

There was Campaign Book Vol 1 which went OOP and regularly sells for over $100 and Campaign Book Vol 2 which I think they kept around longer but probably OOP now. I sold my collection a long time ago. Had everything but Vol 1.

I've been thinking about M44 a lot lately and wanting to pick it up again. Which of these expansions are the "good" ones?

If I set the Memoir box on my table and leave it there I'll find a game set up later in the day. My boys love the game and stop what they're doing when they see it. It's one of my official power-failure games.

Good to see it restocking.

Now if Summoner Wars would do the same . . .

Hit me up for either a Vassal game or a game on Tabletop Simulator. There is an unofficial mod, 4T4.

Eastern Front is the biggie. The commissar rule (Soviets have to play tactics cards a turn in advance) is flavourful and fun. And the scenarios are great, with a variety of ways to earn higher star counts take away some of the swinginess of the base set ones.

The rest don't add enough over the base game to be worthwhile unless you're going to have to time to play the campaigns.

I agree, the rules for the Soviets are really great. I also like the Mediterranean Theatre pack, which has very fun rules for anti-tank guns and movement in the desert.
