Bit baffled by this. One of the biggest strengths of photosynthesis was how it made a simple but accurate model of plant ecology. This is just fluffing stuff up for no reason other than to cash in on the popularity of the base game.

Photosynthesis is a solid game, as long as you play with the advanced rules (all two of them), and too many people have ignored it after playing the basic care bear mode. Expansion's welcome.
