With the pandemic there is obviously an increase in online role-playing and I think we've had some people here hook up for games already. So here's a thread for GM's with openings or just gauging interest for something and/or players looking to get into particular systems to hopefully find others.

Or each person could just start a thread but we all know you won't.

I am totally booked up right now- I have 3 games running right now and I just took on a fourth that may only be a one-shot. If it does, I might solicit players here. Could run:

OSE/BX
DCC
MCC
Mothership
Best Left Buried
WEG Star Wars
Whitehack
Knave
Troika

By the way, what apps are people using for this? Zoom?

I use Roll20 for video, maps, handouts, and dice rolls; and Discord for audio.

I don’t use Roll20 for audio because their A/V is kind of spotty sometimes. If video pauses or glitches for a few seconds then it’s not a big deal, but if the same happens with audio then it causes problems as everyone has to repeat stuff. Although their video is just okay, it’s very convenient to have everyone’s video on the same screen as the maps and stuff we are looking at. (I am not some baller with multiple widescreen monitors.)

So we do audio through Discord, since that can be in a minimized window and the app was designed around group chat.

So far that’s the best setup we’ve found. We’ve tried Zoom, Skype, Jitsi, and Google Hangouts. Hangouts is actually the best for A/V but it’s going away later this year so we decided to migrate off of it.
