The Invention of the Video Game Cartridge was created by wadenels
Good article here about the invention of the video game cartridge.

The cartridge seems like a pretty obvious solution to a pretty obvious problem with hindsight, but the article does a pretty fair job of laying out the situation at the time and the engineering challenges that led to the first video game cartridge system.
