Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Risk: Legacy...
Well damn. I'll be honest, that price point kind of kills it for me. At MSRP $50, I'd probably preorder it for $30something online, but if I have to spend at least $40 for something I may fuck up or at least run out of interest for after I set the world up, I'm a little hesitant.
At $60 they better be planning on some sort of reboot kit because there's not way I'd be willing to just buy another copy again.

Order 1-11 Copies: $35.99 NET per unit [DIA 452334]

$33 appears to be the floor for wholesale purchases, so you might just land a copy for $38 plus shipping.
The slicksheet in the link above has some better images and text on how the game mods through play.
This is a very interesting experiment. I'll be curious to see how the sales of this one play out.

I have zero interest of naming my own continent or city (disappointed that got a 1/4 page in the ad)--- hopefully there will be a ton of component changes and upgrades.

My personal feeling is that this is an absolutely great idea that is going to be done again on a game that I like a whole fuck of a lot more than Risk. I'll wait for that game.

The best part will be that for anyone playing my copy, they will be required to actually physically destroy anything marked for destruction. That part alone makes this game worth every penny to me.
And none of this wimpy going back on things. No rewrites or erasures or removable labels.

My Hasbro guy is gone, so I get no more review copies from there (one was it!), and for me to buy this...it has to be good because I'm broke as fuck. Mama going through school now...ugh.
Anyhow, the magic is that the persistent world is truly persistent. It's akin to blowing up Megaton in Fallout 3. There's shit you can never do because you do X or something Y happens in the game. New things open up, others are lost forever. The naming of the "world" isn't all that whoopdie-doo, but the fact that it is truly an ongoing war gives it an RPG feel. Very cool shit.
And I'm with Frank. I'm throwing the shit in the fireplace, never to be seen. I don't want to know what I'm missing out on because in this universe, if you don't cause it to happen, it was never there.

You really need to play this 5-10 times to get the feel for it. The bits and art are OUT-FUCKING-STANDING. The games are far shorter than the usual 6-hour Riskfest that most Risk versions are notable for.
There's 4 packs of cards that can't be opened until somthing happens in-game, and these things don't happen until well into several (maybe 10, for one pack) games.
Will report. Got a VERY pre-release copy.
