If you consider that copy of Merchant of Venus you recently picked up as part of the aforementioned, I'd be more than happy to lighten your load ;).

Sorry, but that one was a welcome addition. If it makes you feel any better, it was incomplete. Fortunately, it had the bits that were missing from my old copy, so I was able to pull together one complete copy out of the two. That was a chore, but it is all good to go now, and we are planning on playing this weekend.

Crikey - what a very polarised result, either a few or a freakin lot.

I'm pretty sad with about 60 at the moment, plus others that I have played other people's copies but not mine (the 'fellow gamers with biiig collections' problem).

The biggest standout is Dune as just cannot get enough people who will play it - not that many gamers in town - but lots of others I'm dying to play but need people !

Most of those are oop war games, and you need to buy them (or trade for them) while they're cheap. The price for them only goes up.

I plan to play one or more a month.

Glad to see I'm not alone....

Right now 3. Conquest of Paradise, Bohnanza and Power Grid. Most of my unplayed are euroish because I make sure to play all my wargamey unplayed online and don't have a set euro group.

F:AT needs its own island in another dimension we could hop to instantly. I'd be glad to play some of the games you guys are sitting on with you all! Uba, get to work on that as part of the site.

Counting only those games/expansions totally unplayed (not just the ones where my personal copy has never been played):

Battleground: Fantasy Warfare (from a trade I really didn't seek out, though at one time I wanted this)
Clue Express(got this for my kids last week, along with Sorry! Sliders, which we did play and all liked)
C&C:A (a birthday gift; I've stickered all but the dice and hope to play early next week)
Dawn Patrol (probably wlll never play)
Great War at Sea: The Mediterranean
Mamma Mia! (I'm going to have to read the reworked rules on this one)
Prophecy (this should be next weekend)
Rebs and Yanks (a card game someone threw in, unsolicited, as part of a trade)
Second World War at Sea: Eastern Fleet
Tannhauser (but in my defense, it just showed up today as part of a trade)

Well I can take For Sale off my list. Played it tonight at a friends house after dinner.

For the first time in a long while, I can answer the OP's question with "none".

The last couple years I've made the effort to play a lot of the ones that had been sitting for a long time. I've also traded/sold away a lot of stuff, both played an unplayed. Now I'm down from 5 bookcases full of games to about 1 and 3/4. I've got Cosmic Encounter on pre-order, so that will be the next unplayed game I own, until I play it.

I have about 5 or 6. I try not to buy new games until some of my older games hit the table. I'm kind of funny that way because I don't really like shelling out the 50~70 bucks and then not getting the enjoyment from it.

Most of what I own is unplayed. Partly because being the 'gamer' in the family means I get a lot of thrift store and garage sale throw aways games for gifts. Partly because my kids are aged 6 months to 5 years old, and my adult level game time after the kids go to bed is <2hrs once every few months when family is visiting. However, my 5 year old is a budding ATer, so I am looking forward to making up for lost time.
