I would love to play Talisman again, I played it once with my daughter, (my regular gaming partner) but she hated the roll and move aspect of it and refuses to play again (and yes, she loves Titan). My regular gaming group wouldn't touch it.

Heroquest, I'm not sure, we haven't given that a go together (it was close to 15 years ago since I last played it.)

A lot of CCGs and RPGs I would still love to play if I had the time and opponents. Totally different from say, Battlemasters and Heroquest, which aren't that great and will never see play again but I keep for the memories.

I'd play Battlemasters, Talisman, and HeroQuest far more than most any CCG.

I want to get Kingmaker on the table - so, to keep the New Year's resolution to play games gathering dust on my shelves, I will keep it in the top half of the list and pester my group endlessly.

I wouldn't mind playing Star Wars CCG, TI2, or even an RPG, but I have no desire to play A&A, or WH40k.

I also have Key to the Kingdom and Dark World -- the former isn't bad to play with young children, while the latter is really a poor game; however, my Mom painted all of the figures and the castle for me, so I keep it around.

HeroQuest can still be fun (I have the two American expansion packs as well), especially if you are playing with a kid who isn't quite ready for all of the details of Descent. BattleMasters has that gigantic map, so who is going to get rid of that?

The bits of battlemasters are pretty sweet, even if the game sucked. Even when I was only 12 years old I knew that game blew. We played it pretty often but only because we had most of the heroquest stuff memorized and at that stage our homemade maps sucked.

Edit: I wonder if I could use the battlemasters bits to play a modified, souped up, battlelore?

I think that the battlemasters bits would be a nice addition to a fantasy warfare game.

I thought battlemasters was okay for a kids game -- just trying to destroy all of your opponents units.

Ahh, Battlemasters. I've been thinking about picking up a copy to play with my son in a couple of years, but maybe its better to stick with Heroscape and just have the fond memories of BM(?).

Samurai Swords (Shogun) and Fortress America still sit there on the game room shelves, waiting. And of course all the WH and WH40K stuff - does slowly working through painting a god-awful pile of pewter count as playing?
