Was considering it but then all of the expansions really bothered me. Mythic's stuff tends not to be available at retail so it's either all-in or no expansions. Blah.

They say it will be at retail. It is probably smart to wait, I don't know that there will be a super compelling reason to not wait, especially when shipping is figured into the equation. I will make the final call based on how these daily unlocks progress, but for now I am in.
I am still really surprised that they went so hard on including all of the operators. The money to produce these unique sculpts / molds is no joke.
The other encouraging aspect is that all of those expansions are just content; no wild changes that aren't tested or add nonsense.

I don't see enough game or components (Mark's comment on cost of minis is relevant) for me to fork out $100, especially with just the two boards so you would need at least one more board ($19 plus shipping each). With the amount of games I have, or have coming, that I love playing this would not get table-time at present - so it is a retail option only (that is my way of saying I'm not getting it without making that committed statement 'I'm not getting it').

That’s a perfectly reasonable attitude. I have read the rule book and watched one of their full plays. In my opinion, I don’t think the low map count is as big of a deal as one might think. I suspect the real game is the huge amount of combinations of teams. Once you add destructible environments, the actual layout is a bit less important. Also the clock will keep it moving so you can get multiple games in.

This campaign ends tomorrow (Friday). The "daily unlocks" have been fairly lackluster in my opinion, with only a couple of them really representing noteworthy additions / upgrades. Only one unlock remains, and it is highly likely to be the very last operator not currently represented. As it would happen, one of my sons is very keen to play this operator.
They are vague on the retail possibilities of this game, but definitely say that if it goes to retail it will not have any of the daily unlocks included. I don't really think the unlocks are enough to justify pledging, but I do suspect that if you have a lot of interest in this game, waiting for retail may not be the greatest option since... who knows? Were it not Rainbow Six, and very likely to see table time in my house, I'd probably bow out myself. As it stands, I'm sticking with it.
Over on TOS, I was reading a forum thread of someone asking to compare this game with Earth Reborn. I almost spit out my coffee when one of the replies simply listed how their BGG Entry "Weight" stat differed.
WHY OF COURSE, that's how normal people compare games.
