You don't HAVE to, but you do this in CHINATOWN WARS...I dropped something like $3000 on them trying to win a house.

That's pretty cool...but I believe in Scratchers you had to go to a real store and buy real scratch off tickets for real money to play the game. That's decidedly less cool.

Then again that would be one of the few games in your collection that offers at least an outside chance of recouping its purchase price ;)

I would totally not play #10 even though I live in Iowa City.

It's hard to see how #9 is much goofier than any themed variant of Monopoly or some such.

There was an old module for the Traveller RPG called Prison Planet. While it wasn't a board game, your characters were serving time, with all the hazards that entails.

The prison game could easily be like THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK. Honestly, GO FISH with world leaders sounds like a good fucking idea. My kids know the name of every damn character in FINDING NEMO without having seen a minute of the film--I'd rather they be able to identify Ahmedinijad.

Go Iowa! I grew up 60 miles south of Iowa City and my parents still live there. What game stores are still open in Iowa City/Coralville? Iguana's Comic Book Cafe closed some time ago. Is Daydreams still open? Although that was much more of a comic/anime store than game store.
