I met my wife on Yahoo! Personals. My brother, his brother-in-law, and my sister-in-law all met their wives/husband on Yahoo! Personals as well. My wife was actually the first result when I did a search after completing the personality and love compatibility tests. No regrets after 2 ½ years.

I've heard about such things, but always managed to avoid that by restricting my search to a 25-mile radius. Of course it helps to live in a metro area with 2.5 million other people.

Good luck with the long distance thing. Sooner or later someone will have to move, if things go well, and then there is the angst/pressure/estrangement from all you know well to be dealt with, ON TOP of the (presumed) fun of shacking up.

Done the long distance thing. It's an exercise in frustration. I have friends that I know from online I would date in a minute if they lived here (one Brit in particular!) but I'm not throwing in for emotional rollercoaster and bitterness at the world being both large and oceans existing...

Cmon Thaad...It wasn't all that bad. We had some laughs, Some good times, some crazy times...I guess I spoiled it all with that trip to tijuana and that drunken mule.
