Games I Hope to Play at NE Concave

After a harrowing week fraught with blowouts at 75mph on the highway, bartenders not bothering to show up for their last shifts after giving notice, and other smaller disasters, it looks like I'm gonna be able to make it up to Uba's board game and pie invitational thanks to Loter's gracious offer of a ride. It's been a while since I've gotten a big session of multi-player gaming in, so I'm looking forward to playing pretty much anything, but if I had my druthers I'd play the following in no particular order:

Thrilling Tales of Adventure

I've been wanting to check this out since it's first mention on BGG. Such a great theme, and everything I've read since has made we want it even more!

Scorched Earth

I love the post-apoc theme in any form of media. This looks like it has all the coolness of Fallout 3 with fully armed cars! Wow. Just wow.

Ravenloft

The missus has decreed that I can not purchase anything until we move, otherwise I would have picked this up last week. Really interested in seeing how this pans out.

Dungeon Quest (FFG)

Wanna see how this card combat thing works for myself, but I'm reluctant to buy this as I own the original with expansions.

Magical Athelete

Considering all the praise that's been heaped on it here and it's price, I'll probably be picking this one up regardless, but I'd love to play it now before the afore-mentioned purchase ban is lifted.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I can also bring the Really Nasty Horseracing Game if folks are interested. And bourbon of course.

Yeah, I'd also really like to get in a game of DQ so I can decide if I want it or not for myself.

TToA also is hot on the list.

Scorched Earth rules, but unless there is actively an open seat needing to be filled, I'll let people who haven't played it get down.

I'm down to play whatever really, as long as it's awesome.

You know what, I really want to play Mare Nostrum. I only have the base though that I just got in a trade. I'll bring it.

I'd really love to try Runewars too, now that I think about it. There was no way I could swing the 100 bucks when this came out without playing it first, and I don't know anyone who has it.

TToA and Scorched Earth

I've got to try Magical Athlete. It's staring me down something fierce at my LGS.

Survive!

I'm looking forward to demoing TToA to its target audience. I think it's best to limit the # of players to 4 per session since it'll be a learning game, though, so we may need to roll or arm wrestle or Krav Maga duel for spots at the table (except for our hostess, who of course gets first dibs). I'm totally happy to run one session after another if there's enough interest and time.

If I have time to play any other game I'd like to try Scorched Earth, and I'd love to get in on the Mare Nostrum action as well.

It's still starting at 2, right? I'll be there at 2pm sharp!

We need to get a full-blown, no foolin' F:AT convention together one of these days.

I am sneakily suspicious that "no foolin" is a way to exclude me.
