If people want to meet-up in NE this year, I suggest just going to ConnCon in Stamford, CT in March. They do all the work, and we have all the fun. Nearly all of the people that were at my house last Sat will be there as well as a few that couldn't make it. It's smaller than GamesDay, where we do TrashFest. If enough people were interested, I could look into getting a F:AT suite like was done at TrashFest.

How about 2% of your time?

My mom still lives in Stamford, everyone coming to Stamford is an awesome plan.

My overall vote would be that it needs to either be North East or Atlanta for the reasons mentioned. I'd of course prefer the NE since driving vs flying can make or break my broke grad student ability to get places.

Also Stamford is on the Metro-North line, so for less than $20 round trip you can go into NYC.

And if anyone comes up for longer/from way far away I'm happy to put you up here in New Haven and hang out. Unless you suck.

ATL is a transport hub for flights but I'd vote for anywhere in NE as I can drive within 5-6 hours anywhere. You folks would just have to put up with me.

The Northeast would be awesome even though I couldn't make the last one at Uba's place. I do like Uba's suggestion of doing this at the convention in March. Gives me plenty of time to put together some fundage.

Anywhere in the NE or Atlanta is fine with me.

If F:AT CAMP is wargamer friendly, I could be interested. I like the ATL idea for loaction.

Avery, you'll just have to intoxicate or knock out (your choice) Barnes and drive him to FAT CAMP where ever it's going to happen. Problem solved.

Barnes - the BA Barracus of Ameritrash.

If it's on the East coast of the US then at least I have a chance of making it, it will then depend on seasonal cheaper air tickets. Unfortunately March may be out for me as I'm looking at a trip back to NZ for my lad and that usually is the best time for school holidays overlapping and the least difference in weather.

But I'll keep an eye on this.

What this boils down to is accessibility, timing and price.

Timing is not really an issue because there is not going to be a 'best time' for most people (at least I don't think so)

ConnCon is a good choice for accessibility but you're adding the price of the con to rooms food and transport. I'm personally not a big fan of the private gaming suite. It splits the group up for the benefit of some private gaming.

Renting a block of rooms somewhere would be cheaper and the locals could provide the games.

My goal for Trashfest south was to be as inexpensive as possible by inviting people to stay in my home and doing BBQs for dinners (I'll do better next time - the food suxxored)

If we're doing a Con though, I think we should go big like Origins or WBC.

P.S. Atlanta is totally open BTW. I *definitely* can make that happen.
