I just picked up tickets to see Baroness and Deafheaven in April. So fucking stoked. This will be my second time seeing Baroness, who could very well be my favorite band that’s still around, first time with Deafheaven. Can. Not. Wait.

There's a local jazz school for kids called "Soundhouse" and they put on a Christmas show each year. They're like the top youth band in the country and had sixteen horns, alternating vocalists, a very energetic upright bass player, and tons of youthful energy. They were as good as any local band I've seen. All of the kids end up getting scholarships and their previous bass player is with Imagine Dragons now.
