Fun is better than anything else

I used to play this game all the time with my ex-girlfriend, she wouldn't play anything else; it was always scrabble, rummy and this, so you get the picture.
Sure, it's no Descent pocket size, that statement is a contradiction in itself but rather you get a nifty little game that can be carried anywhere and played by total newbies and still have a fun time. Isn't that what gaming's all about: fun?

I want to be evil, like those big energy corporati

Great, just what I was looking for, a game in which by make believe I'm an utilities company. Seriously people, this is a lousy premise for a game that wants to be a train game with a more involved economic side.
Wake me up when you're done, please.

this is a fun, clean, quick german game, something that eurogames seemed to have lost along the way.
it looses some of it's appeal in translation (with the wood for sheep bit, not being funny in spanish).
but it's generally a nice eye opener for the non-gaming crowd, which seems pleased with all the trading an stuff. Maybe someone should invent it's AT counterpart, just to make sure that people are directly initiated into the right side of the hobby.

Fun, quick game for a large group

Playing in a large group is always hard, as the majority of games are geared towards the 4-players magic spot, and usually having 6 or 7 players means that you're adding up time and downtime.
However, in Citadels they've solved this in a very clever way, everyone gets a different role per turn and acts accordingly when called out.
You're constantly trying to get the best role for advancing your city or oppossing some of your opponents expansionist desires.
Anyways, highly recommended for large groups, fun all the time.

Fun introductory level game

Your plane is a card, you've got manouver cards as well as damage cards. Hell yes, everything is played with cards which I enjoy over a fine map of Star Wars Battleships miniatures games, just for kicks.
That would be great, if they'd provided or sell a map for playing this fine game.
Anyway, onto the game, it's fun, 30 min tops, easy to grasp but hard to master like any good arcade game.
It's a great 2 players game or 2 vs. 2 game and the fun comes from trying to foresee where the enemy will be to attack him. Sometimes the range seems too short and also with a little skill it can be a very hard to get the last 2 planes aligned. Maybe, some scenarios could fix this by providing a possible destination.

I've known worst grinds

Haven't played the online game, but I have played this a few times with my friends and I have to say it's a fun game, although quite repetitive and a bit longer than it should. The ending seems a bit off and the movement a bit restrective.

My friends who did play the online version loved it, but got tired of playing it with 6 people always.

Certainly, not a game for newbies and it's best played with 4 players. I do hope mounts were available and a better way to finish the game would be invented.

I would certainly like to play this again, however, it's one of those games in which you need everyone knowing what they are doing in order to minimize downtime which can be a bit too much when playing it for the first time.

It's not easy loving you

Long game, complex rules but a great time playing it. It leaks with flavor and makes for a great time, recommended for H.P. Lovecraft fans and roleplayers, eurosnobs fuck off!

There's no better time to be had by 2 in a dungeon

The premise is simple and great, you've got a team of 8 in a secret dungeon, which is presented little by little and that is constantly changing. However, in your starting line there're only 4 guys, hiding the rest of your team and equipment within the secret rooms of the dungeon.
Some have compared it to chess or an abstract game, that wouldn't be too far off as to describing how you move in it. However, I think there's still so much more with the different configurations of teams/equipment you can come up with and the unpredictability of the layout of the board, which makes you stay alert during the whole game.
It's also great that you start with the same figures and equipment, it's got a simple but effective combat system (like the one used in LOTR: The Confrontation), and different options for scoring points means that this is a game with many different endings.
In the end, I feel this is a light-medium game, with lots of strategical options and a lot of flavor in it, to make it to the top of my list.
DT is a great 2-player game out of France, with no shortage of expansions. A game I really like this game as it's fun, short, challenging and engaging.
