Oh man. 24 pages?

Can someone please list all of the suggested gems so I know which ones to mock and which new ones to add?

Also, if Boomtown isn't in there somewhere I'm going to be upset. If that even counts as a Euro.

Somebody mentioned Boomtown 20 pages ago or so.

As for what to mock, start with Scissors and ThirstyMan. They are the archenemies of the ERP.

Outside of the more common knowledge ones, for me the stand-outs were:
Africa, Around the World in 80 Days, Journey to the Center of the Earth, California, Pueblo.

Yes, to loop it back to the "lost treasures" concept- which means not looking at the Modern Arts, the El Grandes, and so forth...my big off-the-beaten-path finds would be:

The Swarm
Journey to the Center of the Earth
Deadwood
Black Gold

All of which, ironically enough, I would regard as very "AT-friendly".

I believe this is in reference to your edited post before you self censored only to cast blame for your tech-errors on some ERP conspiracy.

Yeah, Africa! Toto. The soundtrack of the ERP. But he's pretty good until the heavier part comes in.

I just got Chapel's copy of Big City in the mail...god damn, I forgot how cool this game is. I actually only ever played it once and it was already expensive back then so I never got around to it. They may not make games like Civilization anymore, but they don't make games like this anymore either. At least not at a reasonable price and outside of Kickstarter. 50+ buildings and a bunch of shiny silver streetcars. Three trays worth of pieces. Can't wait to get this played again.

So you're filling in the shoes of The Old-Guard at BGG?
Play your cards right and you'll slide right into the roll of Octavian!
HA!

Big City is an amazing looking game. And such subtle ways to screw with people...Watch people squirm with a well placed train. It's also such a satisfying game at the end once everything is complete.

Hey woah, woah, BGG and cocktavian that was below the belt Tush. I'm just playing up your ERP egos and you believe it.

Wannabes. I've had Big City for six years and bought it for the equivalent of 20 bucks and knew never to sell it. Fuck yeah! same for Up Front, a game Barnes used to play instead of pushing around pink elephants in Bombay.

But such is the irony of which I speak!

Bah! I've had Big City since 2005. But man...$20 is a steal.
I think the copy I bought was one of the last ones in shrink off eBay. I remember paying what I thought was a lot for it but that was at a time when a $30 game was expensive and I debated over the course of a few weeks to buy Silverton which was $42.99 retail. So likely $35 plus shipping or thereabouts.

Big City is certainly a sexy game. I was glad to own it during my early bone dry euro phase, and I am glad it found a loving home, but I found the game itself kind of just so so for my liking and has been on the trade pile for a while.

Enjoy Barnes!
