Have you played Skull & Roses? It's Liar's Dice without the dice, which I guess sounds horrible to some people, but I love it even more than Liar's Dice. I'm going with a couple of friends for a day trip to GenCon tomorrow. I'm a little excited about the convention, but I'm completely stoked for our supper plans afterwards. Fogo De Chao! Ginormous amounts of meat, and tres leches for dessert.

I can't speak about the last decade worth of GenCons, but there was a significant increase in female attendance during the last ten years of Milwaukee GenCons. Maybe Buffy and Xena made the difference, or maybe it was more of a general cultural shift towards geekdom with the rise of mainstream internet usage.

Yeah, that was the only one I checked out. Just watching the App Demo made my head hurt.

God, XCOM looks awful. "let's take concepts from Pandemic, Space Cadets and Space Alert, make them over complicated and then create an app that shows the turn sequence and a timer!"
