Shit, I'd run the Root table at Wherlecon if it meant finally getting to try John Company at some point.

One of the most interesting designers working right now.

Seeing these KS review copies trickle out so photos are going up. It looks fucking dope.

I know.

Everytime I look at it I go and check out the late pledge thing again.

I am currently winning the battle, with the fact that 1st edition, and its expansion, which I love, doesn't get played as it is, and gives the Nation Building option which kind of promotes the loyalty changes a bit more, which is the main difference with the new edition. Plus the expense. But it's a close run thing.

I'm keeping my first edition (and expansion) for the foreseeable future.

But I'm hyped that my copy is supposed to be here soonish. It was an easy sell for me.

Mine came in today. The production on this is really nice. The little things like the fully-wrapped box lids make it look great.

Looking forward to digging into it soon, I basically just unboxed it and poked through the components.

I'm going to want to throw some stain on the leader discs, those don't look quite right as bright new wood.

Mine scheduled for tomorrow. Any interest in a digital game if there's a vassal module, NotSure?

You know my email if you are. If not, no big deal.

Gary/Not Sure, I'm in if there's one going and you're looking for someone for a third/fourth, but no big deal either way, especially if you want to keep the pace up to a few moves a day or something.

Edit: can't see it on vassal anyway. I think it's on Tapletop simulator maybe? Can't remember.

You know I'm always in, you've got my email as well. mc, we're usually 1/day types, so a third would be very useful.

I know TTS exists, but I'm not seeing a second edition Vassal yet. As soon as it's around, I'm in.

Out for delivery. We'll see if 2nd edition gets a vassal. I'd say I'd try 1st edition but I don't want to confuse the absolute shit out of myself if I get in a game of my 2nd edition copy.

Now I'm just eyeballing my copy of Pax Ren.

Yeah, I'm not going to go relearn 1st edition for a Vassal game with a shiny 2nd edition on my desk.

I posted on BGG to see if I could flush anything out of the woodwork. If I can get art files, I'll give it a go myself. I've hacked a few along the way, and every other Pax game has a module to borrow ideas from anyway.

If you want to start up a Pax Ren game again while we're waiting, I had fun with those. We never did add the expansion in for our Vassal games, either.

I hate to be too Michael Barnes hyperbolic, but I think this is the most gorgeous, adult, production of a game I've ever seen? The use of period art, the layout and iconography... it's probably the classiest game I've personally ever owned.

I'm game for Ren. I'll have to look up the expansion rules but nbd I have time these days, life is good.
